Andrew Mullett Saunders, aged 76; passed away suddenly on October 3rd, 2026.

Predeceased by his parents John and Myrtle Saunders; his brothers George, Brian and Leonard; sister Phyllis, sister-in-law Rowena, brother-in-law Corey and nephew Andrew.

Leaving to mourn are his loving wife of 56 years Ellen, his 3 children Andre (Paula), Shana (Sean) and Jeffery; 8 grandchildren Hannah, Michael, Joshua (Amber), Sarah, Andrew, Elijah, Gabriel and Olivia. Three great-grandchildren Brennen, Maverick and Grayson. Brother Wade(Linda), sisters Lillian (Don), Ann (Orwin), and Allison (Johnny) and a large circle of family and friends. 

Andrew was born in Glovertown to John and Myrtle Saunders. He moved to Gambo at the age of 17 where he met his loving wife of 56 years Ellen. Together they raised 3 children. Andrew had a lengthy career as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement at age 65. Andrew had many passions in his life besides always being there for his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing, hunting and anything that involved being outside. He was a longtime member of the Gambo Lions Club and volunteered as much as he was able to help out the community. Whether it was selling flowers for the Daffodil House or delivering food trays to members of the community , he was always there to lend a helping hand.

Visitation will be held at Pritchett's Funeral Home on Tuesday October 6th from 4pm-9pm, Wednesday October 7th from 12pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm. The funeral will be held at 2pm on Thursday October 8th at Emmanuel United Church in Gambo with interment to follow.
