It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Edith Blanche Collins at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre, Botwood, NL on June 6, 2024 at the age of 85, surrounded by her family on the day of her 65th wedding anniversary.

Blanche was a beloved and devoted Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents Baxter and Minnie Collins, Silas Collins (Brother), Inez Legge (sister), Mary Howse (sister), Melina Collins (daughter), Ricky Collins (Son), Maude Collins (daughter), Inez Collins (daughter), Owen-Walter Collins (great-grandson), and Noah Collins (great-grandson)

She leaves to mourn her loving husband and best friend Walter Collins,. Her children Leo Collins (Anita), Greg Collins (Janice), Bonnie Skiffington (Rick), Alice Kelly (Tim), Todd Collins (Sue), Jackie Davis (Barry). Twelve grand-children, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandsons. Brothers Norman Collins (Rita), Henry Collins (Ruth), Sister Bonnie Stockley and a large circle of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the incredible staff of the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre in Botwood, NL. for the care lovingly given to our Mother during her stay there since August 2022. Your care will never be forgotten.

Visitation will take place at Hare Bay Pentecostal Church on Friday June 7th from 2 pm - 4 pm for family only, from 7pm - 9 pm for public and on Saturday, June 8th from 7pm - 9 pm for public.

Funeral Service will take place on Sunday June 9th at 11:00 am at Hare Bay Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at the Hare Bay Pentecostal Cemetery.

Our Mother (Blanche) should be best remembered as a quiet woman that devoted her entire life to taking care of her husband and family. She was a hard worker, a strong and resilient woman, never seeking the limelight and most contented when taking care of others.
