In Loving Memory of Bramwell Charles Oram

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bramwell Charles Oram, who passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander, Newfoundland, on July 11, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on June 22, 1940, to Emma and Lewis Oram (both predeceased), Bramwell spent most of his life in Gambo alongside his siblings: Jessie and sister in law Eva Oram  (both predeceased), Cluney Oram (predeceased), Malcolm Oram (predeceased), sister in law Marina Oram ( predeceased),  Randolph Oram (Nina Hillier) and Triffie Brentnall (George).

Bramwell lived a life filled with hard work, laughter, and love for his family. He was happiest when sharing stories—whether about his years working at the airport, memorable fishing trips, playing 500s at the Men's Fellowship, rabbit catching, or teaching the "right" way to make a good pot of soup. His stories, wisdom, and quick wit brought smiles to everyone around him.

Above all, Bramwell cherished time with his family. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, wonderful sense of humour, and the genuine joy he found in being surrounded by those he loved.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 66 years, Julia Oram; his sons Ricky Oram and daughter-in-law Francis Oram ; grandchildren Lori Budgell (Ivan Budgell) and David Oram; and great-granddaughter Carrie. He is also lovingly remembered by his son Kevin Oram and daughter-in-law Jacqueline Oram; granddaughter Renee Sutton (Nathan Sutton); great-granddaughter Savannah; as well as many extended family members and dear friends whose lives he touched over the years.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we take comfort in the memories he gave us and the laughter he shared. His legacy will live on in the stories we continue to tell and in the family he loved so dearly.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
