Kate lived the entirety of her life in Gambo and was a well known member of the community. She was often consulted for her decorating ability and visited many homes in Gambo and area to offer advice on paint Colours and other decorating ideas. Kate worked many jobs over the course of her life, but she always had an affinity for those with special needs. She received much joy working with children who needed extra attention. One job she loved the most was working as a teachers aide. She was affectionately known as Miss Kate and she loved working with the kids everyday. She would always laugh and say they taught her more than she
taught them. Kate loved her simple life. She wasn't one for travelling as flying made her nervous. She loved visiting her cabin, going for a long walk, a delicious meal, listening to music, a good laugh, reading the bible with her prayer group and spending time with family and friends. Last but not least is her puppy cat Molly!
