Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving children, on March 26, 2021.

Leaving to mourn with many fond and adventurous memories are his seven children Judy Stagg (Keith Brown) of Cape Freels,  Donald Brown Jr. (Janice) of Gambo,  Shelley Boyde (Terry) of Gander,  Paula Sturge (William) of Valleyfield, Wilburn Brown (Mabel) of Gambo, Gaye Philpott (Tony) of Gander, and Robin Peckford (Keith) of Gambo.  Brother George Brown of Gambo; Sisters Hazel Stokes of Cape Freels and Olive Saunders of Gander; Brother-in-law Murray Wells of Gambo; and Sister-in-law Frances Ford of Gander.

Donald was born to Stewart and Minnie Brown on June 11, 1937.  He married Ferne Ford on December 21, 1960. They  raised 7 children and were extremely proud to be grandparents to 16 grandchildren  Dawn (Mike), Tara (Mike), Joy (Brandon), Kayla (C J), Jacinda (Norris),  Tyler (Hayley),  Joshua (Rebecca), David, Janel, Darren (Madison), Travis, Genessa, Jordan, Kaleb, Amy and Ashley; and 8 Great Grandchildren Charles, Colby, Alyssa, Jason, Rachel, Chloe, Logan, and Sarah.

Predeceased by loving wife of 56 years Ferne Brown; Parents Stewart and Minnie Brown; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Henry and Theresa Ford; Sister-in-law Joyce Wells; Brothers-in-law Martin Ford, Melvin Saunders and Frank Stokes; Son-in-law Larry Stagg; and Nieces Debbie Rideout, Wanda Stokes, and Jodine Wells.

Due to COVID Restrictions cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
