It is with great sadness that the family of Duncan James Abbott announces that he passed away suddenly at home at the age of 74. He will be greatly missed by wife Olive Abbott, daughter Susan (Deon) Critchley and granddaughter Zoey, sister Yvonne (Don) Bradburry and sister-is-law Karen Mcleod. Duncan is predeceased by parents Edmund and Phyllis Abbott and brother Glyn Abbott.

Duncan was born in Bonavista but lived for the last 50yrs in Gambo. He was a devoted teacher and taught for 30yrs in high schools at Harbour Grace, Hare Bay and Dover. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be truely missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 31, at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Gambo.
