Passed peacefully away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander,
Heber Vivian, age 80 years, of Gambo.

Left to mourn are his loving wife of 59 years, Muriel. Daughter Corrina and husband Perry.
Granddaughter Charissa and husband Michael, and newest treasure great-grandson Theordore (4 years
old).
Brothers; Woodrow (Marg) and Jim (Doreen). Sisters; Florrie (Rich) and Ruby (Carson).
As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, many friends and acquaintances.
Pre-deceased by his parents Pearce and Sarah Vivian, Hare Bay, whom he loved dearly.
And by birth mother Chloe Steele and Warren Steele, stepfather.

Heber married Muriel on June 17, 1965 and came to live in Gambo shortly after, in the area we all called
"the block". Over the years he made many friends here in Gambo and on this "block" and saw many of
them go before him. But he had many friends from all around.
He worked at many different jobs over his years, even a couple of them in early years in Ontario. He
wasn't afraid to swing a mop as a janitor, or work hard on a jackhammer, or any labourer's job, until his
health got in the way, and he stopped work in his 60's.
All while he lived in Gambo he farmed vegetables on the land, being involved with his in-laws who he
lived by, who had started it back in the early 1950's. He loved his garden and when he first became sick
5 years ago, the vegetable garden became no more, we all were saddened to see this happen.
He loved to talk to his friends and loved to tell his "tall tales" too. Some were really true, but some were
stretched, but people sometimes couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or not. But, it was always in fun.
He really liked to talk with his family about the past, things of when they were growing up and about the
people of those days. His brothers and sisters meant a lot to him and he loved them dearly.
Although we know we will all miss him, we also know that his suffering is over, and he is at peace.
He will be greatly missed by us all.

Funeral Service to be held on Friday, November 1 at 2pm from The Salvation Army Church in Gambo.
Resting at Pritchett's Funeral Home in Gambo.

Visitation on Wednesday, October 30 from 2 – 9 pm, Thursday, October 31 from 2 – 9 pm and on Friday,
November 1 from 10am – 12 noon.
Donations in memory may be made to the Gambo Fire Department.
