Hilda Collins (Griffin) passed away peacefully at the beautiful age of 92 at James Paton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 3rd 2023.

Hilda is predeceased by her husband Alf, her parents Clarence and Mae Griffin, her sister Joy (Don) and her brother Phil (Christie) and many friends and other family members.

Left to mourn are her daughters Kim (Corey), Vanessa (Eddie); and her son Glen; her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also a large number of extended family and friends.

Hilda was born on June 15th, 1931 in Grand Bank, NL. At a young age of 17, she graduated with her teaching degree and was moved to a small outport village called Newport to teach. There she met her husband of 65 years. They moved over those years and started a family, then settled into the small town of Gambo where they retired.

Hilda was a small, caring, gentle and mild spoken woman; who always put God, her family and everyone before herself. She was a Christian woman who loved to travel with her husband in their motor home during their golden years. She loved spending time with her friends and family.
