Joan was born on July 11, 1953, in Frederickton, NL. to Ambrose & Emily (nee: Wheaton). On March 21, 1974, she married James Lane & moved to Gambo where she raised her family, making many loving & devoted friends along the way. Joan suffered a massive heart attack December, 2014, & by the grace of God was given a second chance at life. The following 19 months she continued to make many memories with the family & friends who loved her dearly. Joan passed peacefully away on August 02, 2016. The message that she gave to all those whom she was leaving behind was that she was loved everyone but was happy to travel with Dad & be with God. One of the final words that she said were; "God is good".
Joan leaves behind a large circle of family & friends who she loved dearly.
Resting at Pritchett's Funeral Home, Gambo. Visitations: Wednesday 8 PM - 9 PM; Thursday 2 PM - 9 PM and Friday 10 AM - Noon.
Funeral Service at the United Church, Gambo at 2 PM Friday.
Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery.
