Josiah Maxwell
Paul
Sep 3, 1933 — Aug 3, 2020
Gambo
It is with great sadness that the family of Josiah Maxwell Paul announce his sudden but peaceful passing at Lakeside Homes in Gander on August 3, 2020, at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his father Alfred Paul, mother Mary Jane (Rogers) Paul, stepmother Rita Paul, 3 siblings Maggie, Alfred & Eliza Paul, and his infant daughter, Ivy Clarice. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 63 years, Patience Paul, his son Shawn (Carolyn) of Gambo, daughter Faye(Wayne) of Glenwood, grandson Michael (Melissa), grandson Dylan, granddaughter Natalie(Michael), granddaughter Michelle(Christopher), and 4 darling great-grandchildren, Lucas, Max, Benjamin & Madison, the 4 treasures he loved beyond measure. Joe also had a very large circle of family and friends who will miss him dearly. Joe loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, cutting wood, berry picking, anything to keep him active and outside. He was one of the founders of the Gambo Fire Department and served with them as a very devoted member since 1969. But most of all he loved his family. His memory will live on in each and every one of them. The family would also like to extend our deepest thanks to the staff of Lakeside Homes for taking such great care of "Granda" in the last two years. Funeral service will take place on August 6, 2020, at 2pm at the United Church in Gambo with interment at the United Church Cemetery in Gambo. Due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, all funeral services will remain for immediate family members. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory can be made to the United Church Cemetery.
