Joyce Brentnall (Flood nee Rogers)

April 14, 1936 – September 21, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of our beloved mother and grandmother Joyce Muriel Brentnall announce her passing at Lakeside Homes in Gander on September 21 st , 2020 at 84 years of age.

Joyce was predeceased by her daughters Verna Gertrude Lush (nee Brentnall) and Beverly May Paul (nee Brentnall), her parents Laura and Graham Rogers and sister Gertie. Leaving to mourn with our wonderful memories are her children Jerry and Judy (Gary), her siblings: Merrill (Marilyn), Calvin (Arlene), Hughie (Beverley); Joyce, Vera (Clarence Maloney), Norma (Wayne March), Patricia (Dennis Reid), Wanda (George Skinner), and Arlean (Kevin King); her 11 grandchildren Tracy (Darren), Shelly (Barry), Susan (Mark), Scott (Krista), Connie, Chad (Joanne), Shane (Tanya), Brent, Beth Anne (Chris), Stephanie (Kenneth), Stephen (Jessica) and 26 great-grand children who were her pride and joy.

Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Her love of her family, cooking, and faith were prevalent in her life. She spent many years in the food industry in the Central Region, as owner, operator and cook of several different restaurants over the years. There are not many people in Gambo and surrounding areas that have not had a feed of Joyce's over the years. She had a strong faith and was involved with the Senior's Group at the Emmanual United Church for many years.

The family wish to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Lakeside Homes in Gander who assisted in her care over the past number of years.
