Leander Thomas Hender was born September 14th, 1925 to Thomas and Annie Hender, White Bay. He worked in the Woods and Sawmill business. He met and married Clementine Holloway and they were married for 68 years Together they had 5 daughters and 2 sons; Elizabeth (Eugene) Coles, Frances (Larry) Walsh, Ada (Howard) Butt, Lily (Milton) Goulding, Beverly, Henry (Audrey) and Willie (Dianne). 14 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. Resting at Pritchett's Funeral Home, Wednesday 10 AM to 9 PM, and Thursday 10 AM to 12 Noon. Funeral Service from the Salvation Army, Gambo, at 2 PM on Thursday. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Gambo.
