It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lizzie Parsons Myles (nee Warren). She left the world with a pair of knitting needles and a ball of yarn in her hands on March 21, 2024 at the Gander Long-Term Care Facility, at the age of 103. Lizzie was predeceased by her parents, Lydia and Charles Warren, her first husband John Parsons, and her second husband Warren Myles, her brothers John Warren, Abraham Warren, and Alfred Warren, her son Ernie Parsons, step-son Randell Myles, and grandson Blair Parsons.

Left to mourn with loving memories are her sisters, Susie Barrow, Flossie Scevoir, her sister-in-Law Melvina Warren, her daughters Janet Burry and Lydia King, her step-daughter Rosie (Bruce) Tucker, Laura Poughman, daughters-in-law Lucy Pritchett (Clyde) , and Dianne Dzokotoe, grandchildren Tony Parsons, Ernie (Charlotte) Parsons, Jason (Penny) Parsons, Trevor (Kaitlyn) Burry, Deneka (Mike Norman ) Burry, Jodi (Glen) Symes, Charlotte (John) Hann, and Marsha (Shane) Ducey and many great-grandchildren.

Lizzie was born on Gooseberry Islands, NL on June 20, 1920. It was here that she met and married her first husband, John. They moved to Gambo, NL and raised their children, as well as fostering many more during their marriage. After losing John in 1986, Lizzie was one of the lucky ones to find another life-long partner. In 1987, Lizzie married her second husband, Warren, and moved to Bunyan's Cove, NL.

Lizzie was the epitome of good-hearted. She was generous, sweet, fun loving and kind. If she wasn't smiling or laughing with someone, she was busy knitting. There wasn't anything she couldn't knit something for ...... a knitted cover for every pillow and blanket for every chair.

Heartfelt thanks to the many individuals that have provided kindness and care over the years, including Oram's Birchview Manor in Glovertown, James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, Valley Vista Seniors Citizens Home in Springdale, Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care in Botwood, and her final resting place, Gander Long-term Care Facility.

Our hearts are no doubt unraveling at this time but we know that she is watching over us, trying to knit each one back together. she will forever be missed and loved, and we are so very grateful we got to call her ours.

Resting at Pritchett's Funeral Home, Gambo. Visitation Friday March 22, 2024 from 3 PM - 8 PM.

Funeral Service will be at the Salvation Army in Gambo at 2 PM Saturday, March 23, 2024. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Gambo.
