It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Lucy Mae Green. Passing peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Gander during the early hours of August 13th, 2026.

Leaving to mourn loving son Tom and daughter in law Paulette; daughter Corina Gillingham and son in law Perry; and two wonderful grandchildren Alexander and Joshua whom she adored. Also left to mourn moms only surviving brother George whom she adored and his wife Clara Dyke and family.

Lucy was predeceased by her loving husband Alex Greene, parents Reginald and and Ester Dyke of Middle Brook, Gambo and in laws Johanna and James Greene of Gambo. Also predeceased by many of Alex's brothers and sisters; Lucy's brothers Ken (Marie), Sterling (Patsy), Clyde (Hilda), Mervin (Francis); sisters Daphne (Steve) Moss, June (Lionel) Oram and Ann (John) Morrissey.

Lucy was born January 28th, 1945 and lived in Middle Brook, Gambo. She later met the love of her life Alex Greene and together they raised little family in Gambo. Later in life mom became a home support worker for the elderly, she loved and took much pride in helping seniors with everyday life.

Lucy also enjoyed volunteering especially, for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Gambo. There along with her good friend Barbara Kelly, she would prepare the Liturgy and other duties to help prepare for Sunday Masses. She was also very active in the R.C. Ladies Alter Society back in the day.

Lucy had many friends and relatives and dearly loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed bingo and playing a good game of cards with her regular buddies. They had lots of laughs.

Special thanks to moms wonderful home care workers she loved you all; Charlene, Sandy, Debra, Tina, Juanita, Maude and Shirley. Heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the team in the Intensive Care Unit at JPM Gander for your care and compassion.

Donation in memory of Lucy can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church in Gambo.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Pritchett's Funeral Home in Gambo. Visitation to be on Monday August 17 from 7pm-9pm. The funeral will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday August 18th at 11am. Inurnment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Gambo.
