Obituary - Lucy Margaret Oldford
Lucy was born on July 7, 1942 to Mary and George Genge in Glovertown. She grew
up as a member of the Salvation Army Church and continued in the church as a
Senior Soldier and member of the Home League in Gambo. She touched many
lives in her 81 years of life. Her love for her family and willingness to help so many
people over the years has earned her the love and respect of friends and family
alike.
Left to mourn are the love of her life for the past 65 years her husband Bram,
children Dan (Nancy), Ed (Ben), Trudy (Ian), Leonard (Roxanne) and mothers of her
grandchildren Denise and Roberta, her 15 Grandchildren Billy (Steph), Ryan, Karly
(Monovah), Greg, Stephen (Kelsey), Philip, Matthew (Chantelle), Kevin (Meghan),
Adrian, Christopher, Sammie (Wade), Leeann (Ryan), Wavey (Jason), Bre
(Andrew), Lenny (Sam) as well as 19 Great Grandchildren. Sisters Annie, Mamie,
Patsy (Gordon) and brother Gordon (Shirley), sisters-in-law Marie, Lillian, Annie,
brothers-in-law Arch (Rosalind), Ward and special niece Gertie Payne and a large
circle of extended family and dear friends.
Lucy is predeceased by her parents, Mary and George, her parents-in-law Samuel and Susie,

brother Arthur, son Bill, son in law Rupert, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-
laws Ethel (Wallace), Mary (Job), Allan, Tobias, Helen, Don and Rodney as well as
her best friend and soul sister Frances.
Her life may be best summed up with two of her favourite sayings to her husband
and family. "We can live on Love" and "We have to have faith".
