Margaret Dawson, a longtime resident of Mississauga, ON, passed peacefully away on the 25th of August at Trilliam Health Partners Hospital at the age of 93 years.
Born in 1923 in Gambo, NL, Margaret was one of eight children born to James and May Dawson. Marg moved to St. John's, NL, at an early to attend school and pursue a career in nursing. She worked at the General Hospital in St. John's before moving to Toronto where she worked at the Sick Kids Hospital until she retired. Marg loved her job dearly, especially the children that she lovingly cared for. She was a kind and gentle soul with a very generous heart and witty sense of humour.
Marg was a very intelligent woman. She went to her church, Saint Martha and Mary Parish faithfully in Mississauga right up until she died. She was also an avid traveler and reader. She loved to shop, one of her favorite things was to give to others, and she enjoyed plays and concerts in her younger years. Marg loved to socialize, especially with her dear friends Myrtle, Eileen and Evelyn. She was very health conscience and stayed active right up until she passed away.
Marg will be lovingly remembered by her niece Michelle (Eli), Nephew Paul, Cousin Jack Morrissey. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandnieces Teri-Lynn, Ashley and Jessica; Grand nephews, EJ, Wilfred and Maurice; Great grandnephew Blake and Great grandniece Chloe.
Margaret was predeceased in death by parents James and May Dawson. Brothers Patrick,Frank, Vincent, Paul and John.; sisters Geneiveve and Patricia.
Resting at Pritchett's Funeral Home. Visitation Tuesday Nov 1 from 2 PM to 9 PM. Funeral Service at the Roman Catholic Church 10 AM Wednesday Nov 2, 2016.
