It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of
Mildred Lane, aged 92. Mildred lived a long and full life, marked by
kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family, church, and
community.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Eli; her cherished children
Clyde, Dwight, and Judy; her daughter-in-law Carmen; brothers
Gerald (Aggie), Don (Ida), sisters Winnie (Lou), Dora (Earl), and
sister-in-law Betty.
With loving memories, she leaves to mourn her sons John (Joan) and
Derek; her son-in-law John Moore; her daughters-in-law Linda and
Philomena; and her brother Thomas. Mildred also leaves behind her
cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large circle of
extended family and dear friends.
Mildred was known for her open heart and open door, her devotion to
the Emmanuel United Church, and caring for those in need. Her
home was a place of comfort, laughter, and love – a place where
everyone felt welcome. Her altruistic spirit, fun-loving nature, and
unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the
pleasure of knowing her.
Family will be receiving friends at Pritchett's Funeral Home in Gambo
on Wednesday, July 30 from 3pm – 9pm. The funeral service will be
held on Thursday July 31 at 2PM from Emmanuel United Church and
the burial will take place afterwards at the Emmanuel United Church
Cemetery. The United Church Women will be providing a reception to
follow at the Emmanuel United Church Hall in Gambo.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mildred's memory to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
