ROSIE BLANCHE COLLINS
October 4, 1932 - February 8, 2023
Rosie Collins, age 90 of Gambo, passed peacefully at the Long Term Care Home in Gander, February 8, 2023. She was an absolutely wonderful mother of 8, with 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was also a cherished sister, and aunt, loved by many nieces and nephews who knew her as Aunt Rosie.
Known as the "Queen" of the family, not only will she be remembered for her love, kindness, and outrageous spunk, but also for having red lipstick and dressed in beads with a fancy scarf around her neck.
Predeceased by her loving husband, Naaman Collins, parents, Rosie (Goulding) and Robert Collins and father Edger Collins (mother Louise), sister, Violet Russell and brother-in-law, Howard Russell, son-in-laws, Walter Kelly and Roderick Pritchett, as well as her mother and father-in-law, Cecilia (Button) and Daniel Collins.
Left to mourn with countless fond memories:
Children, Robert (Beverly), Wanda Feltham (Fred), Roderick (Ann), Sharon Pritchett, Howard (Debbie), Amanda Kelly (Noel), Dion (Lori), and Collett Kelly (Mark).
Grandchildren, Paula, Renee, Brent (Jennifer), April (Steve), Howie (Earlene), Miranda, Rodney, Matthew, Blake, Trynt, Megan, Caitlyn, Ryan, Hailey, and Mya Jane.
Siblings, Elizabeth Armstrong (Betty Lou), Walter Collins (June), Maggie Oram, Tony Genge, and Bridgett Collins (Kevin).
She will also be missed dearly by her 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Much appreciation to the caregivers of the Long Term Care Facility in Gander on Blueberry floor, where she was cared for since the summer, and to North Haven in Lewisporte for giving her so much love the last couple of years.
Visitation for the public at Pritchett's Funeral Home Friday 3-9 PM, Saturday 2-9 PM, and Sunday 6-9 PM, February 10-12.
Celebration of Rosie's life at the Salvation Army Citadel in Gambo, Monday, February 13, 2 PM.
