Stephen Lush, age 58 years, passed peacefully away on August 2, 2025 at the Health Sciences
Centre surrounded by his friends and family after a valiant battle with a traumatic brain injury
due to a tragic accident.

Leaving to mourn, his parents Tom and Lillie Lush; brother Walter Lush, friend Selma Skanes
and a large circle of extended family and friends. Special thank you to his dear friends, Charlie
Peddle, Paul Rice and Father John O'Brian and all of his family.

The family would like to thank The Newfoundland and Labrador Brain Association for all that
they have done. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre for
providing such comfort and care to Stephen during his final days. Thank you to the physio
therapist and occupational therapists at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre. Thank you to Peter's Place in
Bridgewater Nova Scotia for all their care during the five years that Stephen spent there.

Stephen graduated with a bachelor degree in fine arts from Concordia University in Montreal
and continued on to be a commercial pilot. Stephen was known for his deep political views with
respect to politics and theology. He was a friend to all who knew him and he seen the good in
everyone that he met. He was a wonderful listener and loved animals dearly. He will be deeply
missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from
2pm-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Salvation Army St. John's West
Citadel on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 2pm. A burial will take place on Saturday , August 9,
2025 at 2pm at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Gambo.
